Bone Lady

Her house rests deep within the emerald wood,
The entrance hidden with sweet climbing moss.
Along the barrier for years it’s stood,
Few have approached and tried their best to cross.
But none have passed in so quickly a time,
The flames they dance and chase the darkness down.
And then cracked lips begin to speak in rhyme,
In this: Her place of bones, so far from town.
With ease her body turns upon the breeze,
Her spell is strong and will affect the mind.
The forest bends towards her, seeming pleased,
Peeling away the pulpy fruit from rind.
She’ll know you best in ways that seem obscene,
Not by heart; but venom of your spleen.

Burning Rivers, Dancing Shadows

Sunrise can’t come soon enough.
All has ended, and life is no more.

Water sits reflecting motion
Torn between the sky and ocean.
The river was burning to light the way.

The heart of London is covered in shadows.
Shadows come to claim their prisoners.
Shadows dance and fight the light.

The secrets of the castle show
What is hidden down below.
The darkest hour has come and gone
And with the sun breaks the new dawn.

Dream Walking

The darkest hour has come and gone
And with the sun breaks the new dawn

Helios threads the sky with color
Vibrant yellows, oranges, reds
He has lived to grace this place once more
And make our sky his bed

Shadows cast by the great tower
Terrifying though they seem
Are still now in this early hour
As if we’re walking in a dream
